In broad terms the work done by Mr Knight so far has included amongst other things: excavating the courtyard, building a new 2 storey extension, extensive land drainage and installing of rainwater pipe work, installing a new fosse septique, removal of internal and external render, creating 3 new door openings (through very thick old stone walls), digging a trench for new gas tank, carpentry work and installing a number of new beams. They continue to be heavily involved in a large number of aspects of the project and we envisage them continuing to do so both for this part of the project and other phases of work which we hope to carry out in due course. We have found that the work that Mr Knight has been contracted to do has been of a high standard and has been completed in a timely manner.

We have also had a number of other contractors working on the project and my belief is that Mr Knight has worked well with them and our architect. He has provided sound advice about the difficulties of dealing with buildings of this nature and have come up with sensible solutions when problems have arisen.

We feel totally comfortable with Mr Knight carrying out work on the property without day to day supervision by either ourselves or Mr Amann (the architect).  Although my husband or I try to get over to France for a day or two each month our trips are relatively infrequent. In addition, Mr Amann is only at the property from time to time.

Given that we are unable to get to Balssa as regularly as we might have liked Mr Knight has ensured that we have been kept up to date with progress by sending us reports and photos of the work done. This has been invaluable to us.
